30 Day- All About You... Weight Loss Challenge
I have accomplished a lot in this wonderful program. The program is not only about losing weight and dieting; it is more about learning a method on how to eat healthy food, stay slim and feeling happy about the process. Finally, even after the program, I continue to incorporatethe method into my own personal diet and work outs.
Initially, the program was very strict. I was only allowed to eat a few select choices of meat, and vegetable, nuts in every daily meal in small portions. No salt, sugar, dairy and processed foods were allowed to be part of the required diet I followed during the time. Personally, in the first week, it was very hard for me because without salt, everything was tasteless. But, after the second week, I felt better, and I was able to endure how the food tasted. The positive results became evident to me only after a week. With this diet, I felt my body was detoxifying itself. I was becoming healthy and more relaxed, both in body and mind. The most important thing I learned from this program is portion control and eating appropriately considering the right foods that would make me feel full and content. Further, behind this, I learned what the body needs, not what we mentally want; this is key concept in this program. After I understood how certain ingredients, dose and portion works in relation to diet, since I can now eat my favorite food and still stay within my healthy weight.
Moreover, the exercise part of the program was effective since the workouts were practical and focused on areas that I was personally concerned with. In the past, on my own, I had to stay at the gym for a longer time; I was using the wrong muscle or not enough resistance, which all equaled to less progress. Yet, with Julie, the workouts were shorter in duration and more efficient. No matter how hard I had been working on my own, I didn’t slim down. With Julie, that was different story. She focused on my weak areas, and we specifically worked on those body areas, intentionally. Yes, when I was training with her, it was so tough, and I cried out at times ready to quit, but Julie was aware of my limits and kept encouraging me, so I could endure it, after all. After every session, I was tired, but I felt awesome at the same time because I saw how much after each session I improved.
I am truly appreciative of Julie’s support, especially what she taught me as a trainer. The program really worked for me, and the results on my weight loss were surprisingly great because I lost more than one inch off my belly and arms in one month! That is something that really makes me feel great! I can say that I will continue working with Julie in the future especially if I want to stay healthy and become stronger!
